EC GEOBLOCK

Revolutionize geotechnical work with the patented, highly flexible EC GEOBLOCK. Easily manufactured in 'E' and 'C' shapes, these precast concrete blocks offer unrivaled adaptability to conform to a wide range of project configurations. The system's innovative approach was officially recognized with the Gold Award at the Malaysian Road Conference & Exhibition 2024.

EC GEOBLOCK GRAVITY WALL

A gravity retaining wall is a structure that stabilizes soil by relying only on its self-weight. It uses the sheer mass of its material (like concrete or stone masonry, or a system like the EC Geoblock) to resist the lateral pressure of the retained earth.

Collapse of existing RC wall probably due to excess pore water pressure.

Utilizing the EC Geoblock Gravity Wall system, the final structure delivers a great aesthetic, ensuring it blends beautifully with the existing rubble walls and structures

EC GEOBLOCK MSE WALL

An MSE (Mechanically Stabilized Earth) Wall is a retaining structure that reinforces the soil behind it, essentially turning the earth into a strong, stable unit. It is built in layers using compacted backfill (soil), horizontal geogrids or steel strips for tensile strength, and a facing system for aesthetics and erosion control. This system's internal strength allows MSE walls to be a flexible and cost-effective choice for very tall walls

The MSE Wall constructed using the new modular blocks, such as the EC Geoblock, feature specific grooves that secure the geogrid reinforcement during infill and compaction, resulting in an improved overall grip and greater internal stability.

EC GEOBLOCK SOIL NAIL WALL/ SLOPE REMEDIAL WORK

A gravity retaining wall is a structure that stabilizes soil by relying only on its self-weight. It uses the sheer mass of its material (like concrete or stone masonry, or a system like the EC Geoblock) to resist the lateral pressure of the retained earth.

Slope failure due to prolonged rainfall

Slope remedial work using EC Geoblock which can be arranged to reprofile the slope.

Utilizing the EC Geoblock, the repaired slope now presents an aesthetically pleasing finish that perfectly integrates with the existing terrain. The blocks were installed to ensure a seamless visual continuity with the adjacent slope

EC Geoblocks can be arranged and easily trimmed along the sides to allow integration of reinforcement, such as soil nails. This accommodation further strengthens the slope and substantially improves the overall safety factor of the retaining structure

EC GEOBLOCK RIVERFRONT EROSION PROTECTION

Constant water flow had severely eroded the initial riprap, creating voids beneath the structure's slab. To repair this damage, EC Geoblocks were utilized. These blocks were arranged to interlock with one another, and their granular infill allows water to travel freely in and out of the wall structure. This permeable design significantly reduces the impact and pressure associated with constant water flow,

EC GEOBLOCK GROUND IMPROVEMENT

The EC Geoblock has shown superior performance in ground improvement compared to geogrids, according to a simulation study conducted by our team. The full findings are published in the IEM Journal and are available at the link below.
